As we tackle our daily financial battles, our path toward economic success will always depend on how we will correctly deal with our financial decisions. We must know within ourselves the importance of having the ability to explore endless possibilities, develop financial goals, and manage our personal income and expenses. From this point of view, we may ask ourselves: How will we know if our financial choices are the best way to go? 

Indeed, it was the perfect day to launch the much-awaited program, JA Economics for Success! For the past months, JA Philippines and its corresponding partners have been working hand-in-hand to produce and develop programs beneficial for the Filipino youth. With Economics for Success, this is the first time the program has been launched in the Philippines! With JA PH and Accenture, in line with JA 360: Philippine Partners Summit’s Entrepreneurship Week, the Venture with Accenture event was held to officially begin and introduce the program to its stakeholders held last October 26, 2022. Certainly, through the hard work and dedication of the partnership between JA PH and Accenture, the event has definitely proven how purposeful JA Economics for Success can be for Senior High School students in the Philippines – from capitalizing on providing practical information about personal finance to identifying the importance of having career goals based on skills, interests, and values!

As the event preceded, the program also gave time to recognize the schools and division partners for their continued determination and diligence in producing participants for JA Economics for Success. As all divisions move forward with the program, they have all received the corresponding welcome kits that they can use and take advantage of in helping the students succeed in the program. It is with our delightful energy to announce that as of October 2022, there are already 10,000 registered students in our program!

Moreover, to support all division teachers, the special participation of Mr. Orlando Ballesteros was witnessed when he gave a talk about the learning capacities of a business-minded person, and how we should encourage ourselves to step up and seek positive changes. A critical learning from his talk is the importance of never giving up – because in life, we all need to know our strengths and weakness, and eventually develop the skills fit to help us conquer our daily battles.

In addition, the participants were also challenged with entrepreneurship skill-up pitching, where each nominated division member was given the opportunity to pitch concepts for a maximum of 3 minutes! The activity was supported by a talk from Mr. Hector Angeles, who provided insights regarding the techniques and strategies on how to deliver a great pitch, while developing the skills, manners, ethics, and right engagement. 

“Be sure to tell a good story. Even if you have a good product to sell, you still have to make sure that your story is interesting. Also, be a master of the facts and always be professional. It goes a long way. “

As the event concluded, JA Philippines and Accenture announced the award: the Schools with the Most Number of Participants on Most Quality Program Implementation and Awards Night & Brigada Eskwela Funding, with an outstanding prize of PHP 20,000!

Most importantly, JA Philippines also presented the award to Accenture for being the partner for the program. Indeed, the event has proven that there is an undeniable connection between JA PH and Accenture – for they have tirelessly provided everything for the benefit of empowering the Filipino youth. For Accenture, there is no better way to thank them than through JA PH’s endless support for their long-term visions and future aspirations. Certainly, Accenture has shown its capacity in contributing to our nation’s society through the students’ financial education and future career. To provide emphasis, JA Philippines has expressed their endless support for its program partner.

This has been JA 360: Philippine Partners Summit’s Venture With Accenture, and may this event be the start of an excellent introduction for JA Economics for Success! Together. Together, let us #VentureWithAccenture!
