“Good business leaders create a vision, articulate the vision, passionately own the vision, and relentlessly manage it to completion.” – Jack Welch

We may have all participated in various project management activities without even realizing it. Basically, we have likely been creating and overseeing projects in our daily lives – engaging in various facets of project management every time we prepare a presentation, curate a plan with the team, and even up to the most personal aspects that require a certain way of management; from packing for a trip, finishing a school assignment, or setting a dinner with a friend. After recognizing that we are establishing a type of management either in our personal or professional careers, we can ask ourselves: Are we able to meet the expectations that we are aiming to achieve?

Indeed, this year is the perfect moment to introduce a program that will help the Filipino youth in discovering their strengths in ensuring that resources are maximized, problems are identified, and solutions are

planned for a better focus on achieving important project goals! Last November 8, 2022, the much-awaited program of JA Philippines and PMI Educational Foundation, the Project Management Program is officially launched in the Philippines under the corporate citizenship event of JA Philippines, the JA 360: Philippine Partners Summit, with over 6,000 audiences reaching the event for both virtual and in-person setup! For the previous weeks, JA Philippines along with PMIEF have been working tirelessly to structure a plan that will offer a comprehensive program. in order to learn about the advantages of having project management knowledge, skills, and competencies as a future professional!

As the event went on, the program was emphasized by Ms. Amber Buschmann, who is the Implementation Specialist at PMIEF. With 15 years of project management experience leading high-impact and transformational projects in both non-profit and high-education sectors, she has truly captured every aspect of project management in her talk as the event’s keynote speaker. Ms. Buschmann was able to provide a clear understanding of the program’s main purpose which is to help the youth in forming the most appropriate mindset in achieving project objectives. In addition, she has helped define the perspectives in organizing and identifying the different processes that will lead to an organization’s success. It is truly an exciting time for the Philippines because finally, we have this kind of program that will truly encapsulate how a certain project management skill can make a long way and be an asset to the team.

The event also gave time to recognize the schools and division partners that are determined to be a part of the upcoming program! With 7 Department of Education divisions and 52 recorded schools across the Philippines, there is truly something exciting to look forward to in the future with the Project Management Program! From this, it is with our delightful energy to announce that we are aiming to reach more than 6,000 students!

And finally, we are inviting you to catch the program’s pre-implementation on December 3, 2022, as we will continue celebrating the program’s initial objectives. At this event, we are aiming to achieve a total event attendance of 10,000 students!

We hope that the participants of this program will be able to realize that a particular way of managing skills can truly help them build the right path thus, making JA Philippines and PMIEF’s vision a reality. Once again, a huge congratulations to JA Philippines and the PMI Educational Foundation, with Ms. Emily Sanders as the representative of PMIEF! May the program continue to grow and reach greater heights along the way!

This has been one of JA 360: Philippine Partners Summit’s Work-Readiness Event, The Project Management Program, and together, let us be #PROficient and #PROactive with #PROjectManagement!
